Nuclear Science Week: GRU Education Day gallery

Dozens of high school students from Richmond and Aiken counties were introduced to the benefits of nuclear technology and career opportunities during the third annual GRU Education Day event on Oct. 20.

Part of Nuclear Science Week, GRU Education Day was designed to give area students a chance to interact with regional experts in nuclear science and medicine.

Representatives from CB&I AREVA MOX Services and the Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness Education Committee were on hand for the day’s events. The day ended with a nuclear science discussion panel hosted by local practicing nuclear technology professionals, GRU faculty, staff and students.

GRU Education Day is a joint effort of the College of Allied Health Sciences and the College of Science and Mathematics.
