With spring almost here and summer around the corner, people are trying a lot of different ways to lose weight. One of the newest trends you may have heard of are raspberry ketones, but not everything you’ve heard is true. Angelia Meleah Holland, an assistant professor at Augusta University who studies the effects of ketogenic diets and ketone supplements like the raspberry ketone, believes that much more research needs to be done before determining weight loss benefits.
It’s a common misconception, Holland says: “People hear positive findings on exogenous ketones or a ketogenic diet, and purchase raspberry ketones thinking that is the same thing.”
