Virtual summer sale supports volunteer programs, scholarships

Volunteer Services and Community Engagement is hosting a virtual Summer Employee Sale with Retail Concepts from July 5 to July 16 to raise money for volunteer programs throughout the year.

Items for sale include fragrances, designer handbags, watches and jewelry, electronics from tablets and gaming consoles to TVs and home security, beauty supplies from hair dryers and curling irons to dental hygiene products and grooming kits, name-brand kitchen tools from a robotic vacuum to small appliances and cooking utensils, fitness and wellness from massagers to fitness trackers and yoga mats and towels, as well as bedding and luggage and $5 Silly Socks.

“Your continued support of these on-campus sales events ensures we have the resources needed to build meaningful volunteer engagement programming, including funding our VolunTeen and VolunJag student scholarships,” said Tina Baggott, associate vice president for Volunteer Services and Community Engagement. “These scholarships are awarded to high-performing high school and college student volunteers who have demonstrated excellence in their service to the AU Health patient care mission.”
