The CREW now accepting applications

New year, new crew. Interested in coordinating activities that will both enhance and enrich student life by addressing the needs of Augusta University’s student body? Now’s your chance.

The CREW is accepting applications for new members. Available positions include: executive board, committee chairpersons and general members. All members are required to attend CREW meetings on Monday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m.

The CREW is looking for four executive board members: president, vice president of administration, vice president of membership and vice president of marketing. Each executive member is expected to hold four officer hours per week, attend two reoccurring events and all evening events. This is a paid position and executive members are paid approximately $700-1,000 per semester. Executive members must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5

There are nine committee chairperson positions available. The traditions committee is searching for four applicants. This committee oversees Pig Out, Homecoming and Spring Fling. The Special Events committee is comprised of three members who organize the Miss and Mr. Augusta University pageants, semester kickoff and cultural events. Finally, the recurring events committee is looking for two applicants. This committee runs Takeover Tuesday, CREW promotion tables and dual semester events. Committee chairs are required to keep four officer hours per week, attend four events each month and are paid approximately $400 per semester. A GPA of 2.25 is required.

Finally, the CREW is searching for 30 students to serve as general members. This membership level requires students to help with four events per month. General members are eligible to win a monthly prize pack valued at $200. There is also free CREW swag, conference and travel opportunities. General members must maintain a GPA of 2.0.
