Last day to register for Saturday’s Day of Service

Haven’t signed up for Day of Service? Do it before you go to bed tonight, because today’s your last day.

Day of Service is Augusta University’s annual daylong community service effort. Powered by university and health system volunteers, it’s a full day of giving back.

This year’s event runs from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24. Time commitments vary depending on assignment, so check the registration site to see what’s still available and plan your Saturday accordingly.

And don’t forget to save room for the season opener of the Straight A Jazz concert series – Russell Gunn and the Gray Mayfield Trio, the Reggie Sullivan Trio and the Augusta University Jazz Ensemble – which takes place at 6 p.m. at the D. Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre on the Summerville Campus.

Volunteers receive a free Day of Service T-shirt, which can be picked up on Friday, Sept. 23 from 1-4 p.m. at the Maxwell Alumni House on the Summerville Campus.
