Spring See Augusta to welcome college-bound students

See Augusta will welcome prospective students March 21 for a campus experience from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Participants will meet faculty, connect with current students, explore academic programs and experience campus through personalized tracks built around their interests and intended majors.

Students will begin the day on the Summerville Campus with a welcome session where campus leadership will share the university’s mission, values and uniqueness. The day will feature dozens of on-campus student support departments available to share valuable information and sessions covering topics like financial aid, on-campus housing and the admissions process.

“See Augusta allows future Jaguars and their families to get much more information than they would during a daily campus visit,” said Amy Smith, EdD, acting vice president of Enrollment and Student Affairs. “While AU travels all over Georgia and South Carolina to talk about the opportunities we can provide to college-bound students, nothing tells our story better than our campus itself. Guests can picture themselves walking through the grounds and can directly interact with our faculty, staff, and students to get the true Jaguar experience!”

Sam Reece, coordinator of campus visit experience, encourages visitors to come prepared with questions, as See Augusta is intentionally designed to address common concerns around affordability, safety, academic support, housing and career outcomes. This makes it especially valuable for local CSRA students, who often think they know what the university has to offer but are frequently surprised by the opportunities available in their own backyard.

At the end of the day, See Augusta provides attendees with clarity. Reece notes that college decisions are often guided by feeling rather than browsing online, and this event allows visitors to experience the campus culture so they can ask themselves, “Can I see myself here?”

“See Augusta gives students the opportunity to feel the community, see the diversity of involvement, and understand the support systems in place,” said Reece. “It turns AU from an option into a first-choice university.”

For those who have been accepted for Summer or Fall 2026, the day will continue with the first-ever Admitted Students Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Douglas Barnard, Jr. Amphitheatre on the Summerville Campus. Incoming Jaguars who are in attendance at See Augusta are invited to celebrate with activities, music and Jag swag.

The celebration is a fun conclusion to a day designed to help students and families experience the campus firsthand and feel confident about their next steps.

All prospective Jaguars and their families are invited to See Augusta, along with high school students of any age and potential college transfers. Visit the See Augusta website to learn more and to register attendance.
