Augusta University is putting together an official League of Legends team to compete against other schools in the Peach Belt Conference. The Peach Belt will be the first NCAA conference to compete as part of the College League of Legends season in 2018.
Partnering with League of Legends creator, Riot Games, the PBC will hold its first College League of Legends regular season competition later this month. Eight teams will advance to the Peach Belt League of Legends championship, an in-person tournament held in March.
The champion and finalist from that tournament will earn spots in the College Championship Play-In, with the opportunity to advance to the League of Legends College Championship, held in June at Riot’s NA LCS Arena in Los Angeles.
More than 300 teams are expected to compete in the upcoming College League of Legends Season.
Visit Riot’s College League of Legends page for more information.
Interested players should email Zach Wright no later than Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Good luck, have fun, Summoners.
