A new campus passport aims to help students navigate creative events at Augusta University.
Developed by Jaguware, the Pamplin Passport App will allow students to scan QR codes to earn stamps in a digital passport for attending Pamplin-sponsored events. Students who collect all seven stamps, representing the college’s six departments and the college itself, can later enter a drawing for prizes. Those include one $250 prize, a couple $100 prizes and several $50 prizes in the form of gift certificates which can be used in the JagStore. (Yes, that includes buying books).
Additionally, students can enter to win multiple times by filling up their passport again and again.
Dr. Martha Ginn, associate dean of Pamplin College, said she hopes the passport will encourage more students to come out and see what the college experience is all about.
“We were drawn to the passport idea because we wanted students to explore [Pamplin] beyond the classroom,” she said. “It’s great because we can promote all of our events in one spot and update them in real time.”
The Pamplin Passport is open to all students at Augusta University.
