PolicyTech improves efficiency of policy management process

Georgia Regents Medical Center Employees,

In October 2014 Georgia Regents Medical Center (GRMC) implemented PolicyTech, a web-based policy management software. Over the past several months policies have been imported into PolicyTech, the policy workflow has been revised, and many documents have been updated. PolicyTech has improved the efficiency of the policy management process by:

o Simplifying authoring, approving, and distribution of policies
o Standardizing workflows for the routing of policies for review, vetting, feedback, and approval
o Ensuring accountability for policies by capturing attestations
o And by providing a secure, centralized, and auditable repository of policies and other critical documents.

Every GRMC employee has access to PolicyTech to read and attest (when required) to assigned documents. You should use your network (email) credentials to access the system. While most employees will only be able to search and read policies, others that participate in the policy approval process require special rights in the system. Those rights are granted through The Office of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management. Prior to accessing the system all employees are required to be trained. The required training is available in Workforce Learn Online.

If there are questions regarding training or access to the system, please contact Angelica Hardison at (706)721-0900.
