Pierce begins as director of student engagement

On Friday, Jan. 20, Joe Pierce began work as Augusta University’s director of student engagement.

Pierce came to the university from Apple Augusta, where he led a team of roughly 70 individuals. At Apple, he worked to develop his staff and lead his team to become one of the leading stores in the region. While there, his staff consistently ranked high in business metrics and customer satisfaction.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. He is married to Dr. Rebecca Pierce, chief pediatric resident, at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
