Park named to Commission on Medical Cannabis

Dr. Yong D. Park, Professor and Chair of Child Neurology at Georgia Regents University, was named May 15 to Governor Nathan Deal’s 11-member Commission on Medical Cannabis.

Last month, Deal signed House Bill 1, which allows doctors to prescribe a form of cannabis oil for people with several types of medical conditions. The new law also called for the creation the commission, which is expected to advise the General Assembly on how to implement the law and possible changes.
