Olympic marathoner to deliver Alumni Weekend keynote

EVENT: Olympian and Augusta University alumnus Pardon Ndhlovu will deliver the keynote address during the university’s Alumni Weekend Farewell Brunch. This event will honor the fourth class of Jag20 recipients, a group of twenty outstanding alumni leaders under the age of 40.

TIME: 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 30

LOCATION: Legends Club, 2701 Washington Road

BACKGROUND: Ndhlovu escaped the cycle of poverty in his home country of Zimbabwe, used his running talent to get an education in the U.S. and eventually made it to the 2016 Rio Olympics. He finished 41 out of 155 participants in the men’s marathon.

During his journey, Ndhlovu earned his MBA from the Hull College of Business at Augusta and helped coach the Jaguar cross-country and track and field teams.
