New parking lot available for student permits

The site of the former Alumni Center residence hall has been converted to parking, which is now available for Augusta University students living in on-campus housing and assigned to Lot 55, as well as students participating in clinical training. Lot 55 will remain available for students living in on-campus housing for the remainder of the Fall 2021 semester.

The location, identified as Campus Lot 38, will provide 375 parking spaces. The lot is accessible from 15th Street (southbound only) or via Chafee Avenue, which can be seen on the interactive campus map.

The lot is lighted and available 24 hours a day with Public Safety Blue Phones at each entrance. The Green Route shuttle, which operates weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., has a stop at the Chafee Avenue entrance. Shuttle routes and hours can be tracked in real time using the Passio GO! app.

University and Augusta University Medical Center employees may not park in Lot 38. University employees seeking to park in this area of campus should consider available spaces in Lots 37, 40 and 41. AUMC employees should continue to park in their assigned lot.

Parking permits and vehicle registration are available.
