New parking deck to open

The new parking deck (Deck #80) next to the Nathan Deal Campus for Innovation on Augusta University’s Riverfront Campus will open to the public on Monday, Nov. 12. Faculty and staff can register for spaces now.

Deck #80 is gated, so only registered faculty and staff will be able to access it.

Registration for Augusta University faculty and staff to reserve one of the 300 AU spaces will be first come-first serve, and there will be no additional charge above the basic $25 parking fee. Individual spaces will not be assigned, but since only 300 reservations will be accepted, all reservation holders will be guaranteed a space to park. To register, visit the parking office in Annex II, HT-1147. Registration must be done in person.

Employees with registered spaces in the new deck will not have access to park elsewhere on campus. Shuttles on the JagExpress Blue Route will serve employees traveling between Deck #80 and the Health Sciences Campus, which is about a five-minute ride. Visit the AU Transit System page for information on JagExpress routes to all campuses, and download the Passio Go app for real-time tracking of campus shuttles to make your commute as seamless as possible.

Registration is open to all faculty and staff — no group has priority — but university employees who currently park on the Health Sciences Campus, especially those who currently park in Lot 10, are encouraged to register for a space.

The deck’s address is 101 Grace Hopper Lane.
