Last fall, Amanda Mines was crowned the 2018 Miss Augusta University. This summer, she will compete for another crown.
In June, Mines will participate in the 74th Annual Miss Georgia Pageant in Columbus, Georgia. As part of her preparation, Mines will raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, like the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals make sure that donated funds stay local, which means your donation helps kids and families in the Augusta community. Mines is asking the Augusta University community for help reaching her fundraising goal of $500.
If you are interested in donating, visit Mines’ Miss America website.
Miss Augusta University represents the university at several events throughout the remaining and upcoming school year. Mines will attend Spring 2018 Finals Feast, orientation and Fall 2018 Week of Welcome events. Miss Augusta University will also host the Mr. Augusta University pageant. In addition to her hosting duties, Mines will also complete community service hours.
