students at job fair

Job fair at Augusta University offers work, internship opportunities for students, alumni, community

Career Services at Augusta University will host a job fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at Christenberry Fieldhouse, 3109 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with more than 80 employers. The job fair is also open to alumni and job seekers in the community.

Some of the businesses that will be on hand include ADP, Augusta National Golf Club, Piedmont Augusta, and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. These companies will be looking to hire full-time and part-time employees, interns and other positions.

Students attending should come professionally dressed with their resumes and be prepared to interact with those in attendance. Freshmen to alumni will find employers and opportunities that can help them expand their career growth and network.

Julie Goley, director of Career Services, sees this as a big opportunity for students to take advantage of the job fair.

“This is a one-stop event to make connections with employers for current or future needs in securing an internship, part-time or full-time position, or weigh options for graduate school offerings,” said Goley. “Don’t miss out on the chance to create contacts and gain knowledge about what these industries are looking for and how you can stand out. So much of the job search and application process is digital now. This event connects you face to face with future mentors, employers and opportunities.”
