JagStore debuts comparison textbook shopping site

The JagStore, which is operated by Augusta University and provides new and used textbooks for sale or rent, is proud to announce a new textbook price comparison site.

JagCompare is now available to students of Augusta University and East Georgia State College Augusta.

It’s fast, easy and will help students find the cheapest prices for their textbooks, even if it’s somewhere other than the JagStore.

Students will select their courses for the upcoming semester, then the prices for the JagStore will be displayed along with the prices from several other vendors like Amazon. Students can simply click through the site to find the best prices for the textbooks for their courses. They can choose to select the JagStore books or select a different vendor and the site will direct them to the shopping cart for that site. The site is also available on mobile devices.

“The JagStore has a long history of helping students find the best price for their textbooks,” said Michelle Neely, director of retail operations. “We were a leader in supplying used textbooks, then offered a very robust rental program. Our employees have always helped students seek the best price when they shopped in the store, and this site extends that service online.”

An important word of caution for those who choose to purchase from another vendor, however: “Textbooks from the JagStore will always have all of the components or access codes that your professor has requested,” said Karl Munschy, director of auxiliary administration. “Be sure that those items are included in the price when shopping from other sources.”
