It’s coming: Snag new Jag swag on Jan. 21

We’ve been Augusta University for a while now, but something’s been missing, hasn’t it? We’ve had a name, but we’ve been waiting on a look.

Well, that wait is about to end.

On Thursday, Jan. 21, we’ll be rolling out Augusta University’s new, unifying brand – the all-important look that will tell everyone who we are and what we’re all about.

A new seal, a new university logo, a new spirit mark – you’ll be able to see all of it on a special Jagwire Launch Day page, but you’ll be able to walk away with a piece of it, too.

Snag your new Jag swag on the go…

Not only will individual departments be receiving boxes of branded goodies, the Division of Communications and Marketing will also be hosting the first of several “Swag Stops.” At these locations, faculty, staff and students can exchange legacy branded items for new Augusta University merchandise.

Just bring your previously branded stuff to the JSAC on the Summerville Campus or beside the Student Center on the Health Sciences Campus from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Jan. 21, and walk away with some newly minted Augusta University merchandise.

If you miss out on Jan. 21, don’t worry. DCM will have more Swag Stops at the same times on Jan. 28, only this time, the Summerville stop will be outside at the JSAC patio (weather permitting), while the Health Sciences Campus stop will remain at the Student Center.

And if that’s not enough, there will be another Swag Stop at Christenberry Fieldhouse before and during the Homecoming game on Feb. 13.

…Or grab some the old-fashioned way!

Looking to get your hands on the new look but don’t have anything to trade in? No problem. The JagStores in Washington Hall on the Summerville Campus and in the Student Center on the Health Sciences Campus have you covered.

Official Augusta University merchandise will be available for purchase in both physical locations on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016. Merchandise will also be available online later this spring.

“Getting the new merchandise ready has been a really fun process,” said Michelle Neely, manager of retail operations. “We are very excited to be a part of the new brand launch and know people will love the new look.”

Whether you get your swag from one of DCM’s Swag Stops or from either of the university’s JagStore locations, be sure not to miss out on this historic opportunity.

After all, this is one of the last steps in our new beginning!

Go Jags!

And don’t forget to share your excitement at #newJAGSWAG
