Augusta University hosted its annual Lighting of the Tree event on Dec. 7 with more than 500 guests in attendance.

The event is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Summerville Neighborhood Association.

The night featured caroling, crafts, a food truck and photos with Santa. Many guests also brought donations for the Open Paws Food Pantry.
