Forecasts in Augusta call for overnight temperatures well below freezing. Due to the potential for snow and ice on roadways, and out of an abundance of caution, in-person classes will now be remote on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and in-person activities will be canceled. Faculty should work with their department chairs and deans to ensure missed in-person instructional content is covered through remote learning and to ensure continuity in their respective courses.
Residence hall students will receive additional details regarding transportation and dining from Housing and Residence Life. Atrium Dining will be open for brunch at 10:30 a.m.
Students and faculty with clinical responsibilities will receive additional information from their leadership. Please note, Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center will remain open but ambulatory clinics will delay opening until 10 a.m. Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center and AU employees who work in the medical center should report to work as scheduled. Employees at Wellstar MCG Health ambulatory clinics and AU employees who work in those clinics should contact their supervisor to determine when to report.
Augusta University employees are encouraged to work remotely. Essential personnel will be contacted by their supervisor if they need to report in person.
