Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated on the ‘In the Wild’

Augusta University is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Joining in on the conversation is Dr. Elizabeth Huggins, director of First & Second Year Experience, and Ana Moreno, a nursing student.

Sixty-eight percent of Hispanic or Latinx students identify as first-generation at AU. Huggins, who has been with the university for over 20 years, shares academic resources that most undergraduate students can utilize to help them matriculate.

Moreno, a former executive leader for Hispanic Organization of Youth, provides insight about her experiences at the university, including getting accepted into the College of Nursing.
