Every week, Jagwire highlights the exceptional care shown by our GRHealth medical professionals in a segment we like to call “Heroes in Health Care.”
This week’s installment of Heroes in Health Care begins in Cardiology, where Dr. Pascha Schafer’s care and concern has made her a blessing in one patient’s eyes.
“Dr. Schafer is an exceptional doctor and is genuinely concerned with my health situation,” one patient said. “I am extremely blessed I have her as my doctor.”
Next we move to Dermatologic Surgery, where one patient’s visit reminded him of the lifesaving care he received during a previous GRHealth stay.
“I always have faith and confidence in the staff at Georgia Regents Medical Center,” the patient said. “In 2008, I had a major stroke, and I do believe I would not be here today if it had not been for them. Thank you all.”
In the same division, Dr. Daniel Sheehan and his staff earned a special shout-out.
“Dr. Sheehan and his entire staff were great,” one patient said. “I would highly recommend them.”
Over in Pediatric Endocrinology, Dr. Christopher Houk, division chief, and his staff also earned some much-deserved recognition.
“Dr. Houk is a great doctor,” one patient said. “The whole staff is very friendly with a great attitude.”
Dr. Janis Coffin in the Department of Family Medicine earned some praise, as did the Family Practice Center.
“The Family Practice Center and Dr. Coffin are outstanding,” one patient said. “Excellent teamwork!”
And finally, to round us out this week, we move to the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine where our patients share our opinion: Our physicians are second to none.
“Any physician I see here is great,” one patient said. “All of them care about the children. Thank you all so much.”
Please join us in congratulating our colleagues for their hard work and dedication to providing excellent patient care outcomes! Be sure to check back next Monday for the latest installment of Heroes in Health Care.
In the meantime, be sure to check Jagwire daily for the latest news and information from Augusta University and GRHealth.
