Christopher M. Brown recently joined Augusta University’s health system as the director of security. Previously, he served as director of security and parking for Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Michigan. Prior to that, he held positions as security director at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., and as assistant director of protective services for Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Pa.
Brown received a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he received certification as a police officer and as a general instructor and crime prevention specialist for the State of Virginia.
He is a senior member and Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator with the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety.
