Not only that, Fort Gordon is home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command and the National Security Agency’s Augusta cryptologic center, and the state has given $93 million towards the construction of the new cyber range, the Hull McKnight Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Georgia plays a huge part in keeping data safe.
“The state’s cyber range will educate up to 500 students at a time,” says Michael Shaffer, Augusta University’s executive vice president of strategic partnerships and economic development. “In cyber, it is a constant learning. You never stop learning, and when new platforms and new things come out, you have to go back and get additional training.”
