Decon Team Recruiting

The Decon Team is recruiting.

The Georgia Regents University Decon Team is responsible for assisting victims of chemical or radiological accidents who come to the medical center for treatment.

Each member of the team completes a 16-hour course in Basic Decon as well as 12-18 hours of training and exercises annually. The course will focus on the decontamination facilities at Georgia Regents Medical Center, as well as the basic skills of all First Receivers.

The next training course will be offered July 9-10 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Health & Science Building Room 2210.

Currently, the Decon team has multiple openings for anyone who would like to participate. If you would like to join the team, contact Kevin Wells at 706-729-2069 or kewells@gru.edu.
