At a place as big and complex as Augusta University, it’s not always easy to know where to go to get the support services you need. Several administrative units provide support to both the university and the health system, but they haven’t always been easy to find, nor has the range of their services always been clear.
Therefore, at the direction of Chief of Staff Russell Keen, a review of these administrative units was conducted starting in April 2017. As a result, these units, previously called shared services, have been renamed enterprise core services to better reflect the breadth and scope of their duties.
These units are:
- Advancement
- Communications and Marketing
- Compliance
- Economic Development and Strategic Partnerships
- Facilities
- Government Relations
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Internal Audit
- Institutional Effectiveness
- Mail Delivery Services
- Parking and Transportation
- Protocol and Special Events
- Volunteer Services
In addition, an index of these enterprise core services has been created to make it even easier to know who to get in touch with and how to access these services. This catalog provides consistent descriptions and points of contact across each of these areas.
The index is searchable by keywords or categories and is an important page to bookmark, whether you’re new to the organization, have been here for a while but are facing a new challenge or just want to know the quickest way to get to the people who can help you.
