Collins named AVP, CFO for Foundations at Augusta University

Jodi Collins, a seasoned professional in foundation management and university advancement, has been named assistant vice president and chief financial officer for Foundations in Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement at Augusta University, effective Jan. 2.

As the AVP and CFO for Foundations, Collins is responsible for the operational and administrative support activities of the Augusta University Foundation and the Augusta University Real Estate Foundation. She will manage daily operations and financial management of the foundations and provide internal support for the development and philanthropy functions of Augusta University.

Before joining Augusta University, Collins was the controller for The Citadel Foundation, as well as The Citadel’s Real Estate and Brigadier foundations. Her prior roles include executive director of advancement and foundation services and senior director of foundation accounting at Georgia Southern University.

She began her career at Hodges Management Company as an accountant and later moved to Thigpen & Lanier, CPAs, as a staff accountant.

Collins earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia Southern and obtained her certified public accountant certification through the Georgia State Board of Accountancy and CPA by Reciprocity through the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. She is a member of the South Carolina Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Advancement Services Professionals.
