Every year, the American Nurses Association designates the week of May 6-12 “National Nurses Week,” a time to honor the contributions and commitments of nurses and nursing professionals across the country.
Commemorating the birth (May 12, 1820) of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, National Nurses Week is a themed, week-long celebration. This year’s theme is “Nursing: The Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit.”
To say thank you to the Augusta University College of Nursing’s many dedicated faculty and staff, the college will host a week of fun, engaging events designed to sharpen the mind, strengthen the body and lift the spirit.
