Bank of America to present $250,000 check to Augusta University

Bank of America will present a $250,000 check to Augusta University to help fund the nearly complete Science and Mathematics Building on the Health Sciences Campus. The Bank of America gift supports institutions and initiatives that “anchor” the local community and enable economic mobility, workforce development and education, and community revitalization. Move-in has begun on the new building, and a grand opening event is being planned for Sept. 30.

Media are invited to meet at 9 a.m. Friday, July 23, inside the main entrance of the new Science and Mathematics Building at 1201 Goss Lane. Spaces will be designated for media at 1301 R.A. Dent Blvd. at the adjacent J. Harold Harrison, M.D. Education Commons.

There will be opportunities to interview Augusta University President Brooks A. Keel, PhD, President of Bank America Augusta/Aiken Ora Parish and College of Science and Mathematics Dean Dr. John Sutherland. If you plan to cover this event, please email Denise Parrish or call 706-831-3148.
