Augusta University ROTC and Military and Veteran Services is hosting a Walk to Remember.

Augusta University to honor military students on Veterans Day

Augusta University’s Office of Multicultural Student Engagement will host a Veterans Day appreciation event from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the ballroom of the Jaguar Student Activities Center.

The event will feature Navy veteran and comedian MJ Moody, who will provide motivation and humor.

Lunch will be provided by Chef Redd’s Barbecue, a local, veteran-owned business.

The event is free for all AU and East Georgia military and military-affiliated personnel. A $5 donation is requested from all other attendees. The donations will benefit the Student Veterans Association.

Also, the university’s ROTC  program and Military and Veteran Services is hosting a Walk to Remember to recognize both Veterans Day and World Armistice Day at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, on the Summerville Campus.

The event will begin at the flagpole on the Summerville Campus and conclude at 11:30 a.m. at the Arsenal Cemetery.

The walk is free and open to the public.
