Augusta University senior highlighted in NCAA and Champion Magazine

Aaron Chestnut, a senior at Augusta University, was recently interviewed by the NCAA and Champion Magazine about his role on AU’s League of Legends esport team. The article follows the Peach Belt’s first quarterfinal match, which showed a match-up between Augusta University and Georgia Southwestern.

Describing Chestnut as “arguably his team’s most accomplished player,” the author, Brian Hendrickson, details how Chestnut had been offered a full esports scholarship to Maryville, but ultimately turned it down to continue his computer science degree at Augusta University.

Augusta University went to on to the semifinals after beating Georgia Southwestern.
