Augusta University reveals new brand

Media Advisory for Thursday, January 21

On Thursday, Augusta University unveils a new look to match its new name. Events are planned across campuses to launch the new brand identity, including logo, seal and athletic marks.

Students, faculty and staff have been invited to swap legacy branded items for new Augusta University swag at “Swag Stations” on Augusta campuses. Official Augusta University merchandise will also be available for sale in university bookstores starting Jan. 21.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, outside the Health Sciences campus Student Center, with most interviews available from 11 a.m. to noon. Due to construction on Laney-Walker Boulevard, media should plan to access the Student Center on Goss Lane from R.A. Dent Boulevard. Media parking will be available at the Dental College of Georgia.

Brand experts from the university’s Division of Communications & Marketing and local advertising and design agency Wier/Stewart will be available for interviews. Media will also be provided with a link to download high-resolution photos and videos of new brand elements for reproduction in print or broadcast. Call Kelly Jasper at 706-513-0719 for media downloads, interviews or more coverage opportunities of the brand launch.
