EVENT: Augusta University College of Education is hosting the first GenCyber Middle Grades Teacher Camp to provide cyber training to 10 education majors and 20 local teachers. The educators come from 16 local schools in five school systems and two private schools. Participants will be encouraged to take the cyber skills they learned back to their school and system, potentially impacting more than 500 educators and 8,000 students. The GenCyber Middle Grades Teacher Camp is free for all participants and is funded by a $94,000 grant from the National Security Agency in collaboration with the National Science Foundation.

TIME: Media are invited 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 8; the camp is held June 6-10.
