Augusta Gives set for March 18

For 18 hours and 28 minutes – a nod to our 1828 roots – the Augusta University community will come together for something truly special: Augusta Gives. It’s a day fueled by purpose, pride and possibility. A day dedicated to the students finding their path, patients finding hope and researchers pursuing tomorrow’s cures.

“Augusta Gives is more than a day of generosity. It’s a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together when we unite around a shared belief in the life-changing, life-saving work happening at Augusta University,” said Jeff Snow, executive vice president of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement.

“Every gift, no matter the size, fuels scholarships, advances research, strengthens patient care and opens doors of opportunity. Augusta Gives is a celebration of giving, of impact and of the extraordinary spirit that defines Augusta University,” Snow added.

Hundreds of funds support education, health care, research and innovation. Whether you give to a specific area or to a scholarship fund that supports students, every dollar can change lives.

“Behind every scholarship is a student who dared to dream. Behind every breakthrough is a life waiting to be changed. And behind each of those moments is a donor who chose to give,” said Kelly Schulte, director of Annual Giving and organizer of Augusta Gives for the past seven years. “Augusta Gives is an opportunity for our supporters to open doors, change lives and make a lasting impact.”

During Augusta Gives 2025, more than 860 donors provided gifts totaling $658,387. Over $285,000 was given by AU alumni and nearly $238,000 by friends of AU. Even AU students got involved through various Augusta Gives campus events, such as lawn parties and power hours that generated bonus funding for previously identified needs. Additionally, AU students had a high donor count of 201, coming in third behind faculty and staff, who had 293 unique donors and alumni with 241.
