AU canceling classes on Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1

Augusta University Community,

Augusta University will remain closed through Tuesday, Oct. 1, as a result of the effects of Hurricane Helene.

While campus is closed, anyone who is classified as an essential operations employee who can safely get to campus should report for duty. Please check with your supervisor if you have any questions.

Our Emergency Response Team, including Facilities, continues to assess the damage to buildings and grounds. There are a number of power outages reported across our local Augusta campuses. Our primary concern remains the safety of everyone in the AU community. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the weekend and provide another update on Sunday.

Russell T. Keen
President, Augusta University
