JagNation,
While we are still assessing and responding to the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, I want to provide several updates for our AU community about our on-campus student population and what we are doing to mitigate the storm’s effects.
Currently our residence halls have no electrical power. We are keeping in close contact with Georgia Power to learn when that might be restored.
Students can access electrical power on the Health Sciences Campus at the Atrium Dining Hall, Student Center and Greenblatt Library. Food services are available at Atrium Dining Hall.
Additional updates on classes and other campus operations will be forthcoming as we are able to provide them.
During times such as these, it is important that we take care of our loved ones and look out for one another in our AU family, as well. I encourage you to remain off the roads as much as possible to stay safe and to allow repair work to advance more quickly.
I want to personally thank all of you for your hard work, compassion and commitment to Augusta University. Let us continue to support one another as we move forward.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Russell T. Keen
President, Augusta University
