Registration open for Randomized Coffee Trials

rctselectLearn more about your fellow Augusta University and health system community members, including staff and regional campus faculty, by joining the Randomized Coffee Trials (RCT). All campuses are invited to join.

This innovative, program is a play on randomized clinical trials. Basically, a participant is randomly paired with someone from across our wide and diverse campus to enjoy a free cup of coffee in a location designed to facilitate conversation.

The goal is a real, beneficial conversation that creatively breaks down communication barriers that arise between disciplines and geographic locations. The only rule is there are no rules – the conversations are completely up to the participants.

And if the face-to-face proves too difficult to schedule, Skype is an encouraged alternative.

Dr. Jim Rawson, chief of radiology, is working in partnership with Dr. Michelle Bryan in the College of Education and the Office of Leadership Development to make this program a reality.

Following through is easy. Simply sign up and you’ll be assigned a partner and a potential location. The coffee will be on the house.
