Applications open for Congressional Internship in Washington, D.C.

The office of Government Relations & Community Affairs is recruiting students to participate in summer (May-August) internships in Washington, D.C. The application deadline is Jan. 29, 2018.

These internships are competitive opportunities for students to get a close-up view inside the federal government, gain important insight into the legislative process and see firsthand the communication that makes our government function on a daily basis. A stipend will be provided to cover living expenses in D.C.

The application is open to juniors or seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students are required to enroll in an internship course during spring for the summer semester. Preferred applicants should be trustworthy, professional, polite, independent, maintain a solid work ethic and possess great communication skills.

To apply, please work with your department chair to submit the application form, along with a resume and two letters of recommendation, to Monty Philpot no later than Jan. 29.
