Annual BBQ event culminates IGIVE campaign at Augusta University

The 2017 IGIVE fundraising campaign for Augusta University culminates Friday, Oct. 13, with the Augusta U Brew-N-Que event kicking off at 5:30 p.m. in the D. Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre on the Summerville Campus.

This annual affair includes a barbecue dinner provided by Fat Man’s Café as well as live entertainment, a kids zone, a fireworks show at dusk, and the announcement of this year’s fundraising total.

Tickets are $15 for adults, and $10 for Augusta University students and children 12 and under. Tickets purchased at the event gate are $20 a person.

IGIVE is the annual campaign for giving to Augusta University and Augusta University Health. Gifts are directed to benefit any of the university’s nine colleges and cyber initiatives, the health system, university athletics, the Children’s Hospital of Georgia or other specific programs. This year’s IGIVE campus campaign brought in more than $350,109 and the university is counting on community efforts and university officials to help surpass last year’s fundraising total of more than $1 million.
