Adjustments announced for libraries, parking near Health Sciences Campus

There are two notable changes to summer operations at Augusta University pertaining to hours of operation for the libraries and parking near the Health Sciences Campus.

Extended library hours

Augusta University Libraries has altered the summer operating hours for Reese and Greenblatt libraries during the summer, offering extended hours Sunday through Thursday.

Reese Library summer schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to midnight
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon to midnight

Greenblatt Library summer schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon to 1 a.m.
Parking for Health Sciences Campus

The City of Augusta has established a Residential Parking Pass Program in the Laney Walker Neighborhood. This program includes the public streets east of the Health Sciences Campus between RA Dent Boulevard and Blount Avenue.

The program requires any vehicle parked on the street to display a city-issued residential parking pass. If the pass is not displayed, the vehicle owner may be cited or towed by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. The program is in effect Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
