The following email was sent to all faculty, staff and students today in regards to the weather forecast for Georgia and the CSRA.
Due to the potential for winter precipitation over the weekend, we are monitoring conditions to ensure your safety. Current models indicate no significant accumulation in the Augusta area. However, as conditions could change, we will continue to monitor the forecast.
We want to remind you that hospital operations will continue as usual. So, please plan ahead in the event that your shift or commute could take longer. We appreciate your diligence in helping us fulfill our commitment to providing quality patient care.
While we are not expecting this to become a significant weather event, we urge you to exercise caution if you plan to be outside. Dress in layers for extra warmth, and check road conditions before you travel.

Should conditions worsen, we will communicate on Jagwire and the university and health system social media channels.
Thank you and have a safe weekend.
