Greenblatt Library receives Distinguished Library Award

The Robert B. Greenblatt Library has received the Consortium of Southern Biomedical Libraries (CONBLS) Distinguished Library Award for 2015.

In a letter to Dr. Brenda Seago, director of libraries, Dr. Tom Basler, chair of the CONBLS Distinguished Library Award Committee, congratulated Seago for her contributions in reenergizing the Medical Library Program.

In particular, the award recognized the library’s biomedical informatics course, which provides opportunities for Greenblatt and other Southeastern medical library faculty to increase their skills in biomedical informatics.

The goal of the award is to recognize CONBLS member libraries that demonstrate innovation and sustainable new programs that benefit their institution and the greater community, promote the sharing of knowledge with other CONBLS libraries and provide recognition for innovative library programs and services.
