Augusta University to celebrate Veterans Day

Across the United States on Nov. 11, many will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day which marked the end of World War I on what was then called Armistice Day.

To recognize the sacrifice and dedication of our veterans, Augusta University will host its fourth annual Walk 2 Remember on Nov. 9 at 7 a.m. beginning at the Russell A. Blanchard Fountain on the Summerville Campus. Immediately following will be a Veteran’s Day Ceremony in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Coffeehouse at 8 a.m.

Both events are sponsored by the university’s Department of Military & Veterans Services and the Department of Military Science. For more information, call 706-729-2255.
