Augusta University welcomes Georgia Cyber Center opening

Augusta University celebrated the grand opening of the Georgia Cyber Center Tuesday, July 10, on the newly-named Nathan Deal Campus for Innovation.

The future of cybersecurity is growing, and Augusta in particular is benefiting from the investment in a cyber facility.

“There’s a need for greater talent and learning technology for the threat that is constantly changing,” said Calvin Rhodes, executive director of the Georgia Technology Authority and the state government’s chief information officer. “Nobody is going to solve this issue working in a silo.”
