Georgia Cancer Center research pushing cancer towards self-destruction

Researchers at the Georgia Cancer Center and the Department of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University are testing a new way to fight cancer: ‘force-feeding’ cancer to death.

“We started,” said Dr. Gang Zhou, immunologist at the Georgia Cancer Center, “by asking questions about how immunotherapy can change the metabolism of tumor cells.”
