Congressman Ferguson visits Roosevelt Warm Springs

Congressman Drew Ferguson from Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District visited Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation & Specialty Hospitals on Feb. 20 as part of a multi-county tour of organizations within his district.

David Mork, Roosevelt Warm Springs CEO, provided the congressman an overview and history of the campus, highlighting the patient-centric renovations that were recently completed. Cathy Harbin, CNO, and Sonal Nakrani, director of Professional Services, explained the difference in LTACH and Rehab care, including opportunities in both areas for Augusta University student internships. Following the presentation, Rep. Ferguson was given a tour, where he was able to meet many RWSH team members, including Medical Directors Dr. Carlos Parrado (LTACH) and Dr. Ara Chitchyan (Rehabilitation), Medical College of Georgia student Sara Leitheiser, and Kimberly Young, a rehab nurse.
