Laney-Walker Boulevard to reopen March 1

Augusta University anticipates re-opening Laney-Walker Boulevard between 15th Street and and R.A. Dent Boulevard in March to through traffic.

Beginning March 1, vehicles will be able to travel Laney-Walker between 15th Street and R.A. Dent again. Two-way traffic at the Cancer Clinic parking deck will resume, as well.

For pedestrian and bicyclist safety, sidewalks and bike lane access will continue to be limited for the duration of the construction project, with an expected completion this fall. Pedestrians should continue to utilize the path between the Cancer Clinic and the Stoney Building.

There will be infrequent, single-lane closures managed by flagmen as work continues on the Georgia Cancer Center M. Bert Storey Research Building.

Augusta University sincerely appreciates the patience demonstrated by the faculty, staff, students and the community through the road detour process.
