First Friday breast health screenings for employees

In the United States more than 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, according to the American Cancer Society. As breast cancer diagnosis increase, the importance of breast health screenings also increases as mammograms can detect breast cancer early.

Augusta University Health offers breast health screenings for enterprise employees, ages 35 and older, on the first Friday of every month. The next first Friday health screening will be on Friday, April 7.

The screenings will take place the first Friday of each month from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Breast Health Center on the first floor of the medical center.

Most insurance plans will cover the cost of a mammography screening.

Contact the mammography department at 706-721-3251 for more information.
