President’s Research Symposium celebrates legacy of Dr. Virendra B. Mahesh

Augusta University celebrated the legacy of one of its most illustrious educators and researchers at the inaugural President’s Research Symposium for Institutional History on Tuesday, April 26.

Dr. Virendra B. Mahesh, professor and chair emeritus of the former Department of Endocrinology at the Medical College of Georgia, was honored during the all-day ceremony for his contributions to the field of endocrinology research and his dedication to the art of teaching.

Mahesh retired in 1999 after devoting 40 years of service to the university.
