Workforce training session explores trust

Have you found it difficult to trust your co-workers? Your boss? Do you feel like the trust you felt for someone has been betrayed? How do you gain the trust of others within your work team?

The modern workplace relies on an old-fashioned concept: trust. Trust is a key ingredient in improving worker productivity and performance, and makes an organization more flexible to meet changing conditions and uncertainty. This session will explore the different types and dynamics of trust, principles and techniques that can be used to establish and nurture trust, and strategies to consider when trust has been broken in the workplace, either at the individual, supervisory, and organizational level.

Sessions on Building, Restoring and Sustaining Trust in the Workplace are scheduled on:

April 20 – Summerville Campus JSAC (Butler Meeting Room) 1 – 4 p.m.
May 25 – Greenblatt Library (AB 108) 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

And here’s an important quote to keep in mind: “Trust is essential for effective communication and in working in productive teams. If we can’t trust the people we work with, how can we be successful within our departments to promote a more successful organization? Learning to trust others and to foster a trusting environment is our key to personal and professional success!”
